Chef Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam’s has gone from pioneer, to innovator, to the city’s Thai food ambassador. Boasting two Michelin stars and a Green Star for her work, the young chef’s meteoric rise has been nothing short of inspiring. In the six years since Baan Tepa opened, Chef Tam has garnered the Young Chef Award from Michelin 2023, Asia’s Best Female Chef by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2025, and was the Top Tables 2024 pick for the best restaurant in the city.
Chef Tam began at the University of Nottingham, training at the International Culinary Center in New York, and today, she runs the city’s best Thai food restaurant, a place that acts as an embassy for Thai cuisine.
